Auditory Outreach
Access to assistive listening devices
Auditory Outreach, in collaboration with provincial centres, local audiologists and other service providers, assists public and independent schools throughout the province address the needs of school-aged students with hearing loss. Auditory Outreach loans assistive listening devices to public school districts, and group 1 and 2 independent schools, for individual students with hearing loss identified as needing this technology for school use.

Inclusion Outreach assists school teams and families in developing meaningful and inclusive programs for K-12 students with multiple and complex disabilities within BC schools. The strategies, learning modules and other resources in this website are provided to maximize student learning.
POPARD
Consultation, training, and support to schools for students with autism
POPARD is a Ministry of Education program providing services to schools in BC for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We provide consultation, training and support services to all public and independent schools across the province of British Columbia with a primary focus on increasing the capacity of school district staff to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Access to curriculum, supports, and belonging for students with deafblindness
The Provincial Outreach Program for Students with Deafblindness' Mandate is to provide support to school teams working with K-12 students with deafblindness in BC school districts, group 1 and group 2 independent schools, non-Independent First Nations Schools, and First Nations Independent Schools.
POPDHH
Access to consultation, programming and support for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Upon request from School Districts, Independent Schools and First Nations programs, the Provincial Outreach Program provides educational consultation, programming and support for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing all over British Columbia.
The POPDHH team has specialized staff with training and experience to support all students who are deaf and hard of hearing regardless of their hearing levels, listening devices and communication modalities. Students who attend public schools, First Nations Programs and Independent Schools are eligible to receive services from POPDHH.

Research-based strategies, resources, and training in literacy for BC educators
The Provincial Outreach Program for the Early Years (POPEY) is a British Columbia Ministry of Education and Child Care Provincial Resource Program with an outreach focus. POPEY’s mandate is to increase K-3 educators’ capacity to support all primary English literacy learners.
POPFASD
Resources and training for educators who support students with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
The Provincial Outreach Program for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (POPFASD) is funded by the British Columbia Ministry of Education and has been in existence since 2006. We are located in Prince George, British Columbia and hosted by School District No. 57. A multi-district Steering Committee offers advice, direction and feedback. The mandate of our program is to increase educators’ capacity to meet the learning needs of students with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
PRCVI
Access to enhanced learning opportunities for blind and low-vision students
The Provincial Resource Centre for the Visually Impaired (PRCVI) is charged with providing learning resources, leadership, information, training, and consultation to support school districts’ and independent schools’ goal of ensuring equitable access and enhanced educational opportunities for students with visual impairments including those with additional exceptionalities.
PSO
Multi-disciplinary team of specialists who support school districts
Provincial School Outreach is a multi-disciplinary team of specialists who provide in-person and virtual support to school districts across the province, including case consultations, professional development sessions, and linking school and school district staff to regional and provincial resources and services.
SET-BC
Assistive technologies for students with disabilities or diverse abilities
SET-BC was established in 1989 by the Inclusive Education Branch of the BC Ministry of Education to provide assistive technology services for students living with physical disabilities. We were born out of widespread recognition that technology could empower students with complex needs to participate more actively in their education and participate in standard curriculums.
